Install LibreOffice in Ubuntu


UPDATE 2:
To install / update libreoffice to latest version, do

apt-get update
apt-get update libreoffice-gnome libreoffice

UPDATE
You can use this method to update your LibreOffice version to 3.3 Final. Cause as per the release notes of LibreOffice 3.3 Final, This release is bit-for-bit identical to the Release Candidate 4, so you don't need to download or reinstall if you have that version already

We have posted earlier that in next versions of Ubuntu the default office suite will be Libreoffice. Here is the small how to which will help you to install Libreoffice on your Ubuntu or any other debian based operating system.

Adding Repository
Then we need to add repository of Libreoffice. To do so run

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt-get update

Installation
Now if you are using Gnome the to install Libreofice run,

sudo apt-get install libreoffice-gnome libreoffice

For KDE user, run,

sudo apt-get install libreoffice-kde libreoffice

This procedure will install latest Libreoffice version which is Libreoffice 3.3 RC3 at the time of writing this post
